A project that combines design and metal construction to redefine the hospitality experience.
The reception is the business card of every hotel: a space that immediately conveys values of welcome, elegance, and attention to detail. In this project, designed by Studio Gozzini, Siderio contributed to the creation of a new reception area – modern, bright, and functional – where aesthetics and technique work together to shape an iconic and contemporary environment.
Metal constructions for hospitality architecture
The new reception volume was built with an EN 1090-certified metal structure, composed of treated carbon steel pillars and beams, ensuring durability and safety. The envelope was completed with 170 mm ISOPAN rock wool insulating panels, providing both thermal and acoustic comfort while maintaining a minimalist and refined aesthetic.
Architectural integration played a key role: the new structure harmonizes with the existing building through custom sheet metal work and a metal cornice. These technical elements also enhance the clean lines of the façade, giving the whole project a consistent and contemporary image.
Design and light as defining elements
A distinctive feature of the intervention is the external cladding: aluminum sheet and metal tubulars create dynamic geometries that give rhythm and character to the façade. Two six-meter-high aluminum flagpoles act as urban design markers, emphasizing the entrance and transforming it into a recognizable architectural landmark.
Natural light plays a central role thanks to large glass surfaces, visually expanding the interior and creating a seamless dialogue between inside and outside. Inside, iron and laminated glass partitions divide spaces without interrupting transparency, while technical solutions such as a discreet armored pass-through box ensure safety without compromising the design.
Details that make the difference
Every element was carefully designed: from the metal portal to the entrance door in manganese-colored painted steel and bronzed glass, each detail communicates strength, elegance, and stylistic consistency.
This project demonstrates how the use of custom metalwork in interior architecture goes far beyond its structural role, becoming a true design language. The reception evolves from a simple transition area into a representative space that elevates the guest experience from the very first step inside.
